Everyday Pearls: April So Far

April has been absolutely crazy. First there was Easter, then a weekend in Des Moines for a Public Relations Student Society of American Regional Conference, and this past weekend was spent with my sisters, other members of Greek life and my second family. Here are some of my favorite pics from the past three weeks!

Easter service with the LJs.

My siblings can be pretty great.

We got to hear from somebody from Disney!

Here is the panel from Wells Fargo, they may or may not have been added to my list of dream companies.

Tulips in Des Moines!

My fav PR girls!

This guy was hilarious. He works for HBO and had GREAT insights!

Friday night we had a Greek outing to the Timber Rattlers game, which is the team for the Milwaukee Brewers!

Lots of new greek friends

Awkward throw what you know.
CW! She's the cutest (and like half a foot shorter than me as well)

It was a beautiful night! These converse are on repeat this spring. One of my best purchases so far!

These two are so fun!

Making balloons at Walk for MS! It's one of my favorite events to volunteer at and my best friend JP is on the planning committee.

Love this girl JP! She's one of the hardest working people I know, and always gives her entire heart.

This next weekend I have formal and senior tea! I can't wait! How has your April been? I only have 3 weeks of school left.  Cue the panic.

2015 Goals: Volunteering

This is the first one of my goals posts for 2015! I wanted to start with my volunteering goal of 100 hours because it's probably my loftiest goal. Here are some of the places I will be looking to volunteer!

Greek Life// This may not seem like a common place, but there are more than just social fraternities. There are also charitable fraternities whose main goal is volunteering. I plan on volunteering as much as I can with my sisters in order to help reach my goal!

Habitat for Humanity// This is a great resource if you like to travel and volunteer. A lot of campuses have their own clubs that fundraise to go to different parts of the country and even the world to build houses. A lot of clubs also help build in their own towns and states.

Performing Arts Centers// This may be surprising, but theaters are great places to volunteer. You might be able to watch shows for free, but most importantly you help keep costs low so everyone can enjoy the arts.

Local Soup Kitchen// This is pretty self explanatory, but it's a great way to give back! They normally have a regular hours, so it's an easy way to give back weekly.

Shelters// This could be a battered women shelter or an animal shelter. Sometimes you need special training, but it's a great way to give back.

Church// If you go to church, see if you can't volunteer in the office or with the youth group. It can be really rewarding!

Where do you volunteer? What's your favorite part about volunteering?
