It's My Party

I searched for about a month for the perfect dress for my 21st. I wanted something bright, fun and me for under $50. Not that easy, let me tell you. I finally settled on this dress from L. Mae Boutique! It's perfect for a night out, light weight but really easy to accessorize!

I can't wait to go out with all my friends on Wednesday! Stay tuned for 21 lessons I've learned in the past 21 years, I guarantee my parents are going to like the first one.

UPDATE:I wrote this post about a week ago, and after I got the dress it barely covered my butt. Granted I am a very tall person and this tends to happen a lot. So I had to return it, and bought a navy dress with scalloped edges. It's adorable and I can't wait to wear it! If you are of average height, I recommend this dress!

What did you wear to your 21st?

  4. Navy dress with scalloped edges sounds beautiful! I wore a gold sparkly skirt with a black top, black tights, and black heels since my 21st was in the winter...it was a blast! Happy birthday...hope it's AMAZING!

  6. I was really sick for my 21st birthday (not even from anything fun!) so I just wore jeans and a leather jacket. I'm so glad you found a replacement dress in time for your big night!

  8. Oh no! I'm glad you found a replacement, plus navy & scallops sounds very pretty! If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I really love shift dresses but I'm never sure if they'd work for me! I'm not that tall, I'm only 5'7" lol.

    1. Haha I had a lot of fun, but I'm going to need to get used to drinking in public again! I studied abroad in Spain last fall and it was so much fun just going for drinks! I'm looking forward to that tonight!
