Autumn Wish List

While it's 80 degrees outside right now, I'm looking forward to 55 degree weather! Autumn is my favorite season to dress for, because I can normally forgo a heavy jacket that is often necessary in the winter in Wisconsin. To be honest, summer trends don't often appeal to me because of air conditioning (#alwayscold). In autumn I can be comfortable inside and out!








Layering is key in autumn to transition from summer! These pieces are great, and you can pair them together as the tempertures drop. I'm looking for button downs to layer with sweaters, becuase that would be my winter uniform. Nice tops are perfect to layer under a blazer and can be worn out too. Shoes are my favorite part of season, and all of these are a must for me. Do I really need those heels? No, but I really want them!

I'm no fashion blogger, but my personal style is evolving! That being said, I finally shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and here are my scores!

I got this shirt as well, but I ordered a large which is basically a dress on me! I sent it back for a medium! I can't wait to style everything together, and there may even be a felt hat at Old Navy I'm eyeing to wear with my dress! Gold with this wine color is perfect, and I'm so excited to wear it for a bunch of occasions. Look for it on the blog in the weeks to come!

Old Navy is killing it with this spring's new arrivals! I'm loving prints, especially navy and pink. Mint is also a great spring color. I have to have those navy striped flats, and I really like florals for this season as well. I need some sort of spring dress, and I'm loving these options!

Casual Internship Appropriate

One of the hardest parts of internships for is what to wear. I obsess over what to wear, because I want to look the part in order to help with my confidence while there. I have definitely had some misses this summer. However I've started to conquer my fear of styling by creating some great "casual" internship looks.


When in doubt, blazer. This is a great class to work outfit. A simple tee, gold chain neck lace, cheetah flats & dark skinny jeans is professional yet easy to throw together. 

This J.Crew Factory Gingham shirt and elbow patch sweater are adorable together, and with pearls it's a casual yet polished look. 

I love cable kings, and this maroon one from Gap is my favorite. Pair it was a pearl statement necklace and gold chain bracelet, you look internship ready!

When in doubt, grab a pair of dark skinnies for your casual internship outfits. Lighter jeans can look too casual, and never grab a pair of ripped jeans. 

All of these are also great ways to look polished for class or at your student job!While I totally understand the appeal of yoga pants and a comfy sweatshirt, but I really like to dress up and show off my personal style!

First Day of School Oufit Inspiration

Sorry I've been MIA, I finished my internship, and I have attempted to start packing. Emphasis on the attempted. I have two fun surprises this week, so check back tomorrow and Thursday for sure!

Here are some first day of school outfit inspirations. I have some Pinterest inspiration and an outfit of my own. Even though my board is filled with fall inspired outfits, I know it is going to hot this next week for those who are starting this week!

 A cute pair of shorts and a chambray shirt with an adorable necklace is a perfect way to start off the school year. You don't want to be that annoying person who over dresses, but you want the professors to know you take their class seriously. The outfit below is perfect way to stay cool outside, and warm inside. Plus its just the perfect amount of summer!

Fall Wishlist

I just said it, fall wish list! It is too chilly here in WI for me to event think about summer clothes, and fall is my favorite season!





1//I seriously need Hunter Boots. Between the rain and snow in Green Bay there would be perfect. I just have to convince myself to buy them!
2// New riding boots. Mine are worn, and I want these Steve Madden ones.
3// Sweaters, Sweaters & More Sweaters. (And some cardigans) I have a feeling I am going to have a staple look this fall, and it's going to involve sweaters and my chambray shirt. I'm hoping Gap has some cute sweaters for me to layer this season (ps HUGE sale going on right now, check it out!)
4//Anything Lilly Pulitzer Tusk in Sun is perfection. If only it was in purple, it would be my print for life!
5// I got this shoe in brown & black. I had the brown pair for a year & a half until they had holes in them. They are the perfect flat from Steve Madden

While my personal style doesn’t always reflect the preppy, Southern atmosphere that I grew up around, I believe there is still something to be said for wearing plaid or pearls, and channeling your inner Blair Waldorf every so often. With that in mind, I took to my most recent addiction…Polyvore.

I found this cotton dress on ModCloth, and it just screams “collegiate chic” in my opinion. A meeting of the minds with other intellectuals is always a bit more exciting when you’re wearing some cute, scholarly hues! This plaid number combines navy dignity with golden confidence, from its black-piped upper all the way down to its pleated skirt. For a cute twist, I styled this dress with some suede pumps and a thick, gold-chain necklace!

Guess what I found?!?

Eek! I am so excited to show you this site I found while looking for formal dresses!
I know that others might have already found it, but here are some great pieces that I may or may not be purchasing. I'm thinking I will probably get my formal dress from here also.
The company's name is Lulu's and they have some reasonably priced clothing and accessories. It's like a higher quality Forever 21!

This purple chevron blouse is perfect for spring! Not to mention it's my favorite color!
With the weather in Green Bay, this black and white polka dot trench coat would be a perfect way to look cute on rainy days.
Coral statement necklace is perfect for spring and summer while not breaking the bank!
